This is a Part 2 follow-up on my 1986 missionary trip to the Phillipines with the Nora Lam Crusade. In part 1, I mention our visit to the maximum security prison near Manila. We also went to the New Bilibid Prison, which was minimum security. We were told the men had to plant there own food crops and tend them or they didn't eat. It was their responsibility. The weather there is warm most of the time, and all the living areas as I recall had doors and windows with no glass or wood. Just openings. My oldest brother, Larry, and I were invited to speak to a group of about 50 inmates in their cellblock. It was a casual meeting, as most of them just lounged together on their bunks as we spoke. Yet again we felt uncomfortable, unguarded, and at a loss for words. Yet again we went to the Lord in prayer and trusted Him for His wisdom, guidance, and annointing. God came through again! I can't recall exactly what we said that day, but it ended by us giving a salvation invitation. We said that God looks deep within their hearts and will know if they are sincere or not. We said don't bother lifting your hand for salvation unless you understand why it is you are doing it, and you are sincere. God will know. He will forgive your sins if you are truly sorry. Most of them bowed their heads and about 40 men asked Jesus to come into their heart and forgive their sins. We were blessed and reassured that when you are willing to be used by God for His glory, He is always there to pave the way. I am sure my brother would agree with me in saying we could never have done anything like that without the help of the Lord. Again, we were out planting some seeds. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and proclaim what God has done for you and what He will do for others. Just plant some seeds.
